System 5000 Collating/Bookletmaking System: Fast, Versatile, and Extremely Productive

Duplo’s SYSTEM 5000 is their most advanced and productive finishing system, which incorporates DC-10/60 air suction-feed collating towers, dynamic DBM-500 bookletmaker, DBM-500T face trimmer, and a precision stacker. The system is ideal for printers who need a single finishing system that satisfies both offset and digitally printed output. The bookletmaker of the System 5000 accepts both set-by-set of the traditional offset market and sheet-by-sheet pre-collated output of digital printers, eliminating the need for two separate solutions.

The SYSTEM 5000’s vacuum-feed towers are expandable up to 60 bins and collate up to 10,000 sets per hour. Developed to meet UP3i standardization, the DBM-500 bookletmaker produces up to 5,000 booklets per hour and all adjustments can be made on the fly without affecting processing speed. Without any manual adjustments, the DBM-500/T bookletmaker/trimmer can handle a complete changeover including both job size and thickness.

DC-10/60 collators can be upgraded to the IMBF (Intelligent Multi-Bin Feeder) with the addition of an optional touch-screen PC controller and custom designed Duplo software. The IMBF is ideal for complex collating jobs as it allows the operator to select the quantity of sheets to feed from each bin, which bins to feed from, and the feeding sequence.

DC-645 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser: Three Functions in One Pass

The DC-645 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser is a versatile off-line finishing solution ideally suited for the on-demand digital color print market. The device slits, cuts, and creases documents in a single pass producing a wide variety of full-bleed applications such as business cards, post cards, greeting cards, brochures, direct mailers and more. The DC-645 neatly slits and trims white borders left by digital printers and eliminates image cracking by creasing the fold line. Features that set the DC-645 apart from its counterpart, the DC-545HC, are its high duty cycle, its ability to manage heavier substrates and larger sheet sizes, and its ability to produce a six page brochure. With a state-of-the-art user interface, the DC-645 has been specifically developed to support the JDF industry standard.

660P Hydraulic Guillotine Cutter: Precision Cutting

Duplo’s 660P hydraulic cutter guarantees both precision and speed in the critical cutting process. The 660P is safe for all operator levels and ideal for small to medium print shops. Duplo’s 660P comes standard equipped with light emitting/receiving sensors that disable the cutting knife when an object gets too close. Its rugged construction, solid cast-iron frame, and powerful hydraulics enable the 660P to meet rigorous workflow demands. Up to 72 cut locations and 9 job selections can be stored into memory.
